  Thank you for making the guys birthday party so special, the food was, as always, superb.
  Our wait staff kept things flowing at an easy relaxed pace & made us feel right at home. It's the special touches that make your restaurant such a hit, like the fruit plates for my toddler grand children...that little touch kept them happy until our main course arrived. The waitress knew something was needed to fill that gap & pulled pineapple, carrots & apple chunks from the salad line to keep the little ones busy.
  Your hospitality & generosity speak volumes about the business you've built. that is why we celebrate special occasions at The Spoke, it's always a pleasure, & you always make us feel welcome.

  The service was terrible. The waitress would bring a drink, then run off as another person was asking for a refill. The mac and cheese was noodles, with milk on them and shredded cheese on top....completely inedible. The fries were way too salty. My friends potato casserole had hair in it. When he told the waitress he was not going to eat any of it, she took it back. A man (owner, cook??) came out to apologize. Then asked ,"How is 1 little hair going to make you sick?" This was said after he told us that the hair was so small, he wondered where it came from!! This was not good customer service. They took my friends meal off the bill, but still charged us $55 (after we sent it back half uneaten after the hair was discovered). Will NEVER eat here again.

  I've been here one time. Pretty decent food. Very very pricey. No free refills (and its from a fountain - and everyone knows that fountain drinks cost 4¢/glass) --really?!? The musician playing that night was too loud, which made conversation w our friends difficult. Will give another try...

  We enjoy going to local eateries while on vacation. A restaurant's hospitality to tourist is important to everyone involved. We try to absorb the most from the local communities we visit. We are always prepared to pay the bill and tip based on the experience. We were looking for an above average local eatery that had great food, atmosphere and a welcoming mentality to outsiders. We found this at the Broken Spoke. Live music, white table clothes, antique furniture décor, a great, attentive server with an attitude to do what's right for the customer, clean, and a menu with variety. What else could you ask for? The bill was appropriate for the food we ordered. We will go back when in this part of the country again. A special thank you to the owner who took a proactive interest in our dining experience. It was a pleasure meeting you and bravo for a job well done.
